A 14-day quarantine has now been introduced by the UK on travelers arriving from France and it is expected that France will tomorrow return the favor! As a consequence, we are now focusing on our Plan C, which is to “Circum-Cycle” Italy. The detailed itinerary is posted under the Itinerary tab, but the highlights are that we fly to Milan and begin cycling from Como. We then head across towards Turin, turn south to hit the Mediterranean coast at Savona. After that we travel through Pisa, Florence, Siena, Rome, Naples, Amalfi and into the ”Toe” at Reggio Calabria. We then head back out of the Toe across to the Adriatic Coast, head all the way up to Venice and back across to Milan to finish up. We expect to finish on 30th September.
And we are EXTREMELY HOPEFUL that this is the last change…the planning may well end up being more challenging than the ride at this rate!
